Introducing LoopEngine

A self-hosted runtime for agents with human-in-the-loop support — easy to build and integrate into your business workflows.

LoopEngine is a way to build an agent platform for use in business workflows. It is a running agent service, independent from your current workflow, but one that can be easily embedded into it. There are three core ideas about what LoopEngine is and how to use it:

1. Build, configure, and run the agent platform

2. Use cli/http/http_stream to trigger and run the agent

3. Human-in-the-loop integration

With these three aspects included, most straightforward scenarios can take advantage of the agent platform. For example, in a customer service workflow: automatically trigger the agent once a new customer email arrives, via an HTTP message. The agent runs the loop and calls the necessary tools to draft the reply email, then sends a notification to the support team through CRM/Slack/email. Once the support team reviews the draft and confirms it, the agent continues, sends the email, and finishes the loop.

The call to the agent and how to handle its notifications needs custom development, since each scenario/environment is different — but the core pieces (agent runtime, durable approvers/questions, exception retries, error handling) are already handled by LoopEngine itself.

Hope you enjoy building agents and integrating them into your current workflows with LoopEngine!
